City of Richmond, VA is Hiring a Training Analyst Near Richmond, VA

The City of Richmond Department of Social Services is seeking a highly qualified candidate to fill the position of Training Analyst. The incumbent will serve as a member of a cross functional Training Redesign Team responsible for designing, delivering, and continuous improvement of the Department’s training programs; conducting needs assessments, and evaluating training outcomes.

Duties include but are not limited to
  • Analyzing employee development needs;
  • Designing solutions that address development as it relates to department goals and key performance indicators (KPIs);
  • Partnering with supervisors, managers, and other stakeholders on projects to develop/enhance employees' skills (e.g. new employee on-boarding, training and professional development interventions, transfer of learning activities, work simulations, mentoring programs, change management, team alignment, leadership development);
  • Supporting coordination of Individual Development Plans (IDPs);
  • Coordinating development of the Department Training Plan (DTP);
  • Implementing initiatives identified in the Department Training Plan;
  • Facilitating/coordinating learning interventions and analyzing/reporting out results;
  • Monitoring social services and HR policy changes for all programs, updating training materials and job aids and advising employees on the changes and the impact on their work;
  • Providing consultation to department employees on specific work activities;
  • Supporting supervisory review of actions to evaluate compliance and sound decision-making;
  • Performing other related duties as assigned.

City of Richmond Department of Social Services employees are considered essential personnel may be required to work during inclement weather and times of declared emergencies.**

Qualifications, Special Certifications and Licenses

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Considerable knowledge with Adult learning theory and curriculum design.
Skill with assessing training needs; coordinating and scheduling training for a variety of people; creating and updating any necessary materials; delivering training and designing and developing curriculum; facilitating a group instruction; marketing training programs and project management; and customer service.
Ability to use discretion to decide when and what training should be conducted; organize workload and speak publicly.
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's Degree in education, organizational development, or directly related field
  • One year of training and development experience.
  • An equivalent combination of training and experience (as approved by the department) may be used to meet the minimum qualifications of the classification.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience developing and delivering training and development across multiple functions and levels in an organization.
  • Experience producing and delivering virtual instructor-led webinars.
  • Experience creating e-learning solutions and/or other technology-based learning methodologies.
  • Knowledge of The ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of employees.
  • Knowledge and experience working with social services benefits programs and the Virginia Case Management System (VaCMS).
LICENSING, CERTIFICATIONS, and OTHER SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • None required; area of focus may have specific requirements
