Portland Fire & Rescue is looking for a Financial Analyst II to join their team!
Position Summary:
The Finance Analyst will work closely with the Business Services Manager on a variety of financial and accounting related activities including but not limited to development and monitoring of budgets, ad hoc financial analysis, creation of billing reports, and development of financial reports on a wide variety of topics. This position reports to the Business Services Manager.
As a Financial Analyst II you will:Update and maintain budgets, financial systems, and databases including ensuring accuracy of entries, allocating costs to programs and monitoring spending.
Negotiate and draft proposed contracts, grants, and interagency agreements including tracking of related contract performance, revenues, and expenditures; and administering and tracking of contracts and contractor performance.
Research, share information and provide answers to questions from the public, elected officials, external public agencies and jurisdictions, other Bureaus/Offices, and various organizations, committees, community groups, and labor representatives.
Perform a variety of Division-specific program administration and analytical functions in assigned areas of responsibility.
About the Management Services Division (MSD):
Business Operations is located within the Management Services Divisions and manages PF&R’s financial resources and ensures compliance with the City’s financial, procurement, and other administrative policies, procedures, and guidelines. It also provides a broad range of management, administrative, and support services for the bureau including strategic planning coordination and performance reporting; financial planning and forecasting; capital asset management and planning; budgeting, accounting, and grant management; employee services including personnel actions, employee performance, professional standards, and payroll processing; contracts and procurements; data analysis and performance tracking and management; information technology support and coordination; technology project planning and management; and special projects and administrative services.

Work Location:This position is designated as hybrid, with the employee expected to perform at least half of their work in-person. This position will report to 55 SW Ash St., Portland, OR 97204.
