- Supervise recreation employees;
- Attend meetings and events regarding the department;
- Assist the public by providing information to inquiries regarding events and programs in Lubbock;
- Perform some clerical duties as required;
- Perform related duties as directed.
- Office administration and procedures;
- Computer programs, principles and procedures.
- Develop, promote and implement recreational programs, activities, and special events;
- Operate a personal computer;
- Collect and analyze data for user needs assessments;
- Design and produce publicity brochures, flyers, calendars and other promotional or informative documents;
- Direct or teach various classes and other projects at the center;
- Accurately collect and account for revenues from donations, rent, class fees, and concession sales;
- Requisition and maintain recreational equipment and other supplies;
- Maintain records and prepare pertinent reports;
- Supervise the work of others;
- Work independently in the absence of specific instructions;
- Communicate effectively orally and in writing;
- Complete other duties as assigned.
