The ideal candidate will assist with the maintenance of facilities including, hardscape, building maintenance, painting, drywall repair, minor electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs. They will also perform a variety of general labor tasks. This position will be limited to working 20 hours a week, Monday through Friday with an occasional need to work on the weekends or outside of normal business hours. 

• Assist building maintenance staff with general maintenance activities.
• Perform general labor tasks such as moving boxes, furniture, and building materials.
• May assist in other areas or complete other tasks as assigned.

• Basic methods, tools, materials, and equipment used in facilities maintenance and construction work.
• Safe work practices.

Ability to:

• Use the hand and light power tools required in general facility maintenance work
• Perform heavy manual labor.
• Understand and carry out oral and written directions.
• Work independently .
• Establish and maintain cooperative relationships in the course of work.
• Lift up to 75 lbs. on a continuous basis.

Any combination equivalent to experience and education that could likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be six months of experience performing duties comparable to those of a Maintenance Assistant.
