ANNUAL SALARY RANGE: $33,943.00 - 50,914.00 (Salaries are paid biweekly)
ANNUAL ANTICIPATED HIRING RANGE: $37,000.00 - $46,000.00 (Salaries are paid biweekly)

Job Summary

The City of Fort Collins is searching for a Worker I, Parks Shop Attendant who will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of park shop facilities and park shop yards throughout our system. Previous work (at least one year) in a warehouse, inventory, stocking of supplies, procurement, parts, maintenance, ordering, cleaning, and organizing is highly desired regardless of the industry you come from.
This Worker I, Parks Shop Attendant will be one of the City employees who work out of our brand-new East Park Shop, located in the hub of several new Parks and outdoor properties under development. This position is fully onsite and serves in the operation and maintenance of facilities including parks, golf courses, cemeteries, forestry, trails, and public facility grounds. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The following duties and responsibilities are illustrative of the primary functions of this position and are not intended to be all inclusive.

  • Conducts inventory of materials.
  • Orders materials.
  • Works directly with vendors to order materials.
  • Performs routine maintenance and repairs of buildings and systems.
  • Operates equipment to remove snow, cleans hard surfaces such as floors, sidewalks, and parking areas.
  • Oversees contractors who perform specialized trade repair and installation services.
  • Maintains clean and safe work areas, storage spaces and shop yards.
  • Performs some custodial duties in public restroom facilities.
  • Receives, inspects, sorts, assembles and stocks materials in shop.
  • Manage and inspect on-site fuel tanks per state requirements.
  • Oversees lost and found and abandoned property procedures.
  • Operates and maintains skid steer to load, unload, and transport items.

  • Ability to perform general maintenance and repair of vehicles and equipment.

  • Ability to work a variety of weekday, weekend and holiday hours.

Required Qualifications

MINIMUM
PREFERRED
High School Diploma or GED

Experience Requirements

  • 1-2 years’ experience in shop maintenance, inventory management; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
