Under supervision, performs at the professional entry level designing and conducting studies to improve operations, and performs related duties as required

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Directs the Prompt Payment Project
• Monitors phase II of the EPAY credit card program
• Prepares weekly and monthly Business Objects reports
• Performs continuous operations and process review to increase efficiency and productivity
• Conducts new and refresher training for staff and departments that enter vouchers
• Fulfills FOIA requests
• Assists with Emergency Rental Assistance Program and Central Invoice Processing (CIP)
• Conducts payment analysis in accordance with the Department of Finance Prompt Payment Project
• Creates ad hoc reports
• Serves as Department and Aldermanic liaison for reports and status updates on payments

Days: Monday through Friday

Hours: 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM

THIS POSITION IS IN THE CAREER SERVICE

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree plus one year of work experience in operations analysis, project management, strategic planning, program auditing or business management consulting

Preference will be given to candidates possessing the following:

• Previous work experience analyzing and designing workflow processes
• Previous work experience assessing business processes and internal controls
• Proficiency using Microsoft Excel
• Proficiency using Business Objects

SELECTION REQUIREMENTS

This position requires applicants to successfully complete an interview which will include a written exercise and/or skills assessment as part of the interview. The interviewed candidate(s) possessing the qualifications best suited to fulfill the responsibilities of the position, based on the oral and written parts of the interview will be selected.
