The Risk Policy Senior Officer I provides Independent Risk Global Secured product oversight for the $94 Billion Residential Real estate (RRE) portfolios for Personal Banking and Wealth Management (PBWM) business. The individual will have credit risk oversight of the North America CitiMortgage portfolios to drive asset growth initiatives and will additionally focus on governance, controls, policies, risk appetite, capital return framework and portfolio monitoring.
Objective:
Support the Group Risk Director (GRD) function providing credit risk oversight of the North America CitiMortgage portfolios. Participate in portfolio monitoring/management activities to identify emerging trends and manage, maintain and execute the routine Global Secured Processes. Perform review of global quarterly/monthly oversight processes with the objective to identify risks in mortgage portfolios, emerging concentrations, breaches to guardrails/limits/Risk Appetite and to assess if remediation actions taken to bring performance back to benchmark is adequate. In addition, lead the annual FDICIA Global Residential Real Estate limit approval process for PBWM, including analysis of portfolio delinquency, profitability and CCAR results to set limits at the appropriate level and drive preparation of FDICIA Residential Real Estate materials that will support the Real Estate limit request prior to Risk Committee and Board approval. The senior policy analyst will also support the PBWM and Citi Global Wealth mortgage policy integration where appropriate, including policy development and implementation of identified portfolio oversight enhancements. This role will play a leading role in target-state initiatives, driving mortgage policy changes, socialization and approval and will (when required) participate in Risk Transformation projects.
Responsibilities:
The candidate will work closely with a broad set of stakeholders across first and second line risk, in addition to finance and operations teams, across all regions, ensuring adherence to Citi's Risk Governance Framework and the Global Consumer Credit Policies. The role will perform risk analysis, including: geographic, credit risk concentrations, monitoring of portfolio performance against risk appetite guardrails & benchmarks, credit transactions approvals, draft enhancements of mortgage policies. The senior policy analyst plays a critical role in the review, analysis and assessment of risks of the CitiMortgage portfolio including quarterly balanced scorecards, quality control framework, risk appetite and benchmark annual renewal, portfolio quality and concentration reports. The role will involve the preparation of materials for various senior risk committees and regulator meetings and participate in review forums such as Portfolio Quality Review and Residential Real Estate roundtable.
The role will be critical for driving timely preparation of the annual FDICIA Global Real Estate limit review and approval process and will support the GRD team during Internal Audits through preparation of deliverables, inquiries and managing issue discussions and remediation.
Qualifications:
10 years experience in consumer risk management with sound knowledge in consumer real estate, including collateral risk management, servicing, and regulatory requirements. Knowledge in other consumer lending products a definite advantage.
