CIPE is Hiring a Project Manager, IT Near Washington, DC

Company Overview

The Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) strengthens democracy around the globe through private enterprise and market-oriented reform. CIPE is one of the four core institutes of the National Endowment for Democracy and an affiliate of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Since 1983, CIPE has worked with business leaders, policymakers, and civil society to build the institutions vital to a democratic society. CIPE’s key program areas include enterprise ecosystems, democratic governance, business advocacy, anti-corruption & ethics, and trade.

Position:  Project Manager, IT

Location: Washington DC

Reports to: IT Director, IT Department

The Project Manager, reporting to the Director of Information Technology (IT), will be responsible for analyzing business needs and lead IT implementations projects to meet those needs. The Project Manager will work with a blended team of employees and 3rd party service providers to ensure IT projects are delivered with a high degree of quality, on time and within budget. CIPE is experiencing rapid growth and is expanding its IT Team to better support its growth.

The position requires hybrid onsite/telework with 2 days weekly onsite presence at DC office.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage technology projects (applications & infrastructure) working with diverse stakeholders
  • Build business relationships, understand business needs, translate to technology solutions
  • Capture and analyze business requirements, map current and future business processes
  • Create and manage project plans, including resources timelines, budget and risks
  • Manage project challenges and find solutions
  • Communicate project progress, risks, and schedules
  • Identify, measure and track success metrics for projects
  • Run the IT Governance process
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in IT, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities have been acquired

PMP certification desired

Experience

  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in project planning and managing technology implementations (applications and infrastructure) with diverse stakeholders
  • 3 years in business requirements analysis and mapping
  • 2-3 years’ experience in COTS applications analysis, configurations, delivery
  • Experience in IT Governance
  • Experience managing external vendors for solution delivery
  • Prior experience in a distributed international organization
