CIPE is Hiring an IT Operations Manager Near Washington, DC

CIPE’s key program areas include enterprise ecosystems, democratic governance, business advocacy, anti-corruption & ethics, and trade.

Position: IT Operations Manager

Location: Washington DC

Reports to: IT Director, IT Department

The IT Operations Manager, reporting to the Director of Information Technology (IT), will be responsible for managing the daily infrastructure and help desk operations to a high degree of quality by working with a blended team of employees and 3rd party service providers. The IT Operations Manager will ensure timely, secure, and effective delivery of technology operational services to meet the business demands of CIPE. CIPE is experiencing rapid growth and is expanding its IT Team to better support its growth.

This position requires hybrid onsite/telework with 2 days weekly onsite presence at the DC office. 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Long- and short-term planning for infrastructure
  • Contributing infrastructure technology guidance to IT director
  • Day to day operations of IT infrastructure and help desk support function to a high degree of quality
  • Infrastructure budget development and management
  • Vendor selection and oversight
  • Security management, including enforcing technical controls to support security policies & best practices
  • Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery planning
  • Asset inventory management
  • Policies and user trainings
  • Some hands-on system administration will be required
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities have been acquired
  • CompTIA, ITIL certifications desired

Experience

  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience leading IT operations in a mid-sized organization
  • 5 years’ experience with deep understanding in the key areas of IT infrastructure (networking, unified communications, security (NIST or equivalent frameworks), end user support, server infrastructure, cloud hosting, SaaS, application management)
  • 4 years’ experience with deep understanding of cloud infrastructure configurations of Azure/Microsoft 365
  • 2-3 years of SharePoint administration
  • Experience managing external vendors for daily support
  • Prior experience as IT operations leader in a mid-sized organization
  • Prior experience in a distributed international organization
