ACCOUNTING MANAGER

Position Description

Overview:

The Accounting Manager will lead the day-to-day accounting operations for the CINQCARE Group of companies that will allow the team to deliver a rapid, accurate monthly close and financial reporting for CINQCARE’s corporate and healthcare subsidiaries.

As CINQCARE’s healthcare portfolio continues to grow and scale, we are dealing with more complicated accounting needs. CINQCARE is seeking an Accounting Manager to join our team and manage the accounting operations function including but not limited to financial close, reporting, GL activity, payroll, and cash management. This role will work closely with CINQCARE’s corporate operations as well as CINQCARE’s New York subsidiaries.

The Accounting Manager will be a thought-partner in shaping expanded financial platforms and procedures for businesses as they develop and require integrated processes and procedures.

We are looking for an entrepreneurial, energetic accounting leader who is willing to roll up her/his sleeves to own and manage the end-to-end accounting operations function. Primary Responsibilities:

The Accounting Manager will have the following responsibilities:

• Maintain general ledgers and reconcile balance sheet accounts (including bank and credit) to ensure accuracy
• Prepare, review and manage monthly and annual financial reports, including balance sheet, profit and loss, and cash flow statements
• Administer bank accounts and payments
• Oversee year-end statutory audits
• Develop and manage expenditure tracking, review and process payables transactions
• Own the monthly, quarterly and annual production of consolidated financial statements for all legal entities and their subsidiaries
• Oversee and process payroll & benefits transactions
• Track and oversee expense reimbursement processes
• Manage and maintain internal protocols for recordkeeping of organizational documentation, vendor contracts/agreements
• Evaluate, recommend and implement new financial accounting policies, procedures, financial systems, and internal controls
• Support the implementation of new software tools to improve process workflow across all company departments and subsidiaries
• Maintain a continued focus on improving system efficiencies and business practices

Required Skills:

• The ideal candidate will have 7 years of progressive and relevant experience in accounting and financial management including financial reporting and consolidation. Start-up experience is a plus;
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required. CPA preferred;
• Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and concepts, healthcare experience is required;
• Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines; comfortable prioritizing multiple work streams across daily responsibilities and long-term projects. Ability to take on ownership from start to finish of tasks/projects;
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and highly developed interpersonal skills. The candidate will have a demonstrated track record of collaborative leadership in a fast-paced and diverse team environment;
• Comprehensive knowledge QuickBooks (or similar accounting software) and thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office products, with emphasis on Excel, PowerPoint and Word;
• Adept at spreadsheet-based analysis and numbers-based problem solving, including the ability to synthesize financial data into accurate and clear presentations to executive leadership;
• Ability to partner and drive results across all functions;
