The following job functions are just a few that are critical to your success in this role:
Adhere to established safety precautions, including fire safety, when performing tasks, using equipment and supplies.
Maintain knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen environment. Clean and prepare various foods for cooking or serving as directed.
Ability to identify all different types of foods from meats and seafood to produce and grocery items.
Also know where they belong and how to properly rotate these items.
Demonstrate a willingness to learn our food and recipes as we want them prepared - Knowledge of Rationale Cooking Center a plus
Respect and knowledge of all cooking equipment, tools and vessels need to complete one's job.
Understand correct cooking times and temperatures.
Demonstrate working knowledge of allergies and cross contamination.
Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition
Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:High School Diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience preferred in Senior Living including but not limited to IL, AL, Memory Care, Long-term Care or Home Health.
Flexibility to adapt to ongoing change and work in a fast paced, customer service driven environment.
Exhibit a sincere desire to work with the senior population.
Exhibit outstanding customer service skills and contribute to a friendly and dynamic atmosphere.
Exhibit high level of professionalism, courtesy and time management skills.
