PDF Solutions Inc. (NASDAQ: PDFS) is seeking a R&D Engineer or Senior Systems Engineer to join the R&D team to develop a cutting edge electron beam inspection tool (eProbe®). These tools are based on high-speed Scanning Electron Microscopes (SEM) and are used at semiconductor fabs for yield ramp and manufacturing control. This is a core part of PDF’s Design-for-Inspection™ (DFI) methodology. The candidate should be self-motivated and comfortable in a multidisciplinary environment. He or she should have strong analytical skills and a systematic approach to solve problems. The main goal is to improve system performance and throughput by solving a variety of technical challenges. This position will have a direct impact on the success of PDFs eProbe® development with an opportunity for career growth and multiple career paths. Responsibilities: • Work independently to solve problems and find innovative solutions • Design and perform experiments, analyze data and present results • Write prototypes to demonstrate newly developed algorithms • Lead projects from start to finish. From identifying a problem or suggesting a new method to prove of concept and final implementation. • Coordinate and work with software, application, manufacturing, engineering and outside consultants

Requirements: • Master Degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering or related fields • PhD (can be recent graduate) or experienced R&D or Systems Engineer • Experience in data collection and data analysis • Basic LabVIEW experience.
