As a Senior Data Scientist at CIBO you’ll join a collaborative team of crop modelers, software developers, data scientists, and agronomists, working to accelerate sustainable agriculture. You will analyze data and build algorithms to support our core platform as we create, improve, and scale agricultural models. What does this role look like?

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will have the opportunity to: 

• Analyze and ingest agricultural data 

• Run crop and carbon models

• Develop predictive algorithms

We value candidates who:

• Have an MS (PhD preferred) in a quantitative field, (e.g. Data Science, Statistics, Environmental Science, Ecology, Physics), or the equivalent in experience

• Have experience analyzing data and building predictive models
• Have programming skills in at least one data science language (Python preferred)
• Have the ability to think broadly and creatively about real world problems and technical and scientific solutions that produce value for customers
• Have the ability to scope projects and self-manage work 
• Have excellent collaboration and communication skills

Bonus Qualifications:

• Knowledge of agriculture
• Knowledge of a biological field
• Experience with geospatial statistics and modeling
• Knowledge of Bayesian modeling methods
• Experience in team software development practices and tools, e.g. agile development, GitHub, etc.
• Experience with cloud based (AWS/Azure/GCP) implementation of software
