As you visit and spend time with an elderly resident living in HammondCare Caulfield, you'll spend quality time together and enjoy conversations, walks in our gardens, playing games, reminiscing and much more.
Your impact
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.
The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme (ACVVS) is funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and their local community. HammondCare is an approved provider of ACVVS.

HammondCare is an independent Christian charity and we're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need. We have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of people cared for by HammondCare. We provide training and ongoing support.

Requirements
18 years or older •National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare • Evidence of COVID-19 vaccination will be required(Two doses) •
One hour per week or fortnight for 6 months or longer. We can discuss a suitable time Monday to Friday.
