Business Unit Controller

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manufacturing Business Unit Controller to join our finance team and play a pivotal role in driving financial performance within our manufacturing business unit.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Cost Control and Analysis: Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs to ensure they align with budgetary constraints. Identify and investigate variances between actual and budgeted costs. Implement cost-saving measures and process improvements.
2. Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage budgets for manufacturing processes. Work with other departments to forecast production costs and financial outcomes. Provide financial insights to support decision-making and strategic planning.
3. Financial Reporting: Prepare regular financial reports related to manufacturing performance. Present financial information to management and stakeholders. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
4. Inventory Management: Oversee inventory accounting, including valuation and reconciliation. Monitor inventory levels and work with production teams to optimize stock levels. Implement inventory control measures to reduce waste and carrying costs.
5. Production Analysis: Analyze production metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs). Collaborate with production teams to understand operational challenges and opportunities. Provide financial insights to improve production efficiency.
6. Financial Planning and Strategy: Contribute to the development of financial strategies for manufacturing operations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial goals with overall business objectives.
7. Compliance and Auditing: Ensure compliance with accounting principles, financial regulations, and internal policies. Facilitate internal and external audits related to manufacturing operations.
8. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement in manufacturing operations. Work with teams to implement efficiency enhancements and cost-saving initiatives.
9. ERP System Management: Utilize Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to track and manage financial data. Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions related to manufacturing.
10. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with production managers, supply chain professionals, and finance teams to achieve overall organizational goals. Provide financial insights and support to various departments within the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or CMA certification is required. Proven experience as a Controller or similar role in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and manufacturing processes. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and ERP systems. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
