As an FP&A analyst, you will report and work closely with the Senior FP&A to provide financial insights and projections to the Finance team. You will provide reliable data and analysis to be used in decision-making and planning, while also preparing accurate monthly budget to actual reports to each department in accordance with their annual budget. This will help influence key stakeholders to remain compliant to their targeted budget, while also help drive operational efficiency.

What You Will Be Doing

• Grow financial performance through analysis of financial results, forecasts, variances, and trends
• Identify trends in financial performance and providing recommendations for improvement
• Coordinate with other members of the finance team to review financial information and forecasts
• Assisting Senior FP&A in providing financial models and forecasting to support valuation, planning, and forecasting
• Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts, then prepare reports for regular leadership review/discussions
• Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements
• Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Guide the cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures
• Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards
• Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools
• Perform market research, data mining, business intelligence, and valuation comps
• Complete a trailing 6-month average FX rate 
• Conduct comparable analysis and market research to support internal financial analysis
• Assist the VP, Investment and Corporate Development, with ad-hoc M&A projects
• Assist with other ad-hoc requests as needed by the Senior Finance members.

What You Should Have

  • Strong understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley
  • Excellent time management and organizational ability
  • Ability to multitask and meet constant deadlines
  • Willingness to work long hours, when necessary
  • 2-3 years of business finance or other relevant experience
  • High proficiency in financial modeling techniques
  • Strong fluency with Excel formulas and functions
  • BA, BS (Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics)
  • Strong analytical and data gathering skills
  • Good business acumen

  Preferred Requirements

  • MBAs are preferred
  • Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Statistics are preferred major fields
  • Proven work experience in a quantitatively heavy role
