CHINATRUST BANK USA is Hiring a Human Resources Coordinator Near Los Angeles, CA

POSITION SUMMARY:

  • Assist the Sr. HR Business Partner and Talent Requisition Officer with recruitment and onboarding/administrative duties that support the Bank’s HR goals and objectives. 

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

HR Administrative Duties (35%)

  • Assists with all types of mandatory reporting.
  • Assists with vendor management and processing of HR invoices.
  • Manages employee events by working with the HR team to determine activities for the year, researching venues, getting management and funding approvals, employee communication and attending the events as main facilitator.
  • Assists with other HR duties such as leave administration, employee communication, policies & processes, first line of employee inquiries (leaves, benefits, ADP, payroll).
  • Manages newly hired employee performance management (90-day reviews) and filing of reviews.
  • Manages the creation and revisions of job descriptions with managers and HR team.

New Hire/Onboarding (35%)

  • Arranges management interviews by coordinating schedules; arranges travel, lodging, and meals; escorting applicant to interviews.
  • Evaluates applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with managers, interviews applicants on consistent set of qualifications.
  • Performs new hire process by obtaining offer approvals, creating offer letters, running background checks, inputting new hires into HRIS system, managing contingent worker invoices, and hosting new hire orientations.

Talent Acquisition (30%)

  • Establishes recruiting requirements by studying organization plans and objectives; meets with managers to discuss needs and creates interviewing tracking, logs, and matrix.
  • Builds applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and internet sites; providing organization information, opportunities, and benefits; making presentations; maintaining rapport.
  • Determines applicant requirements by conducting initial prescreens, studying job description, and job qualifications.
  • Attracts applicants by placing job advertisements, contacting recruiters, using newsgroups and job sites.
  • Determines applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants; analyzing responses; verifying references; comparing qualifications to job requirements.
  • Manages the summer internship program by conducting orientations; scheduling rotations and assignments; monitoring intern job contributions; coaching interns; advising managers on training and coaching.
  • Assists the Talent Acquisition Officer with recruitment efforts via job fairs, job events, etc. 

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Successfully complete all mandatory training on related Bank and BSA compliance as well as other laws and regulations as assigned in a timely manner.
  • Perform all assigned duties under Bank’s compliance programs and related laws & regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Strong understanding of HR principles/expectations and ability to maintain high level of confidentiality.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to function in a high-paces and at times stressful environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management skills. 
  • Familiarity with HR databases, and Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office especially PowerPoint software.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Minimum mobility to work in an office setting; sit for prolonged period of times; operate office equipment including use of a computer keyboard; and reach with hands and arms. Employees are occasionally required to walk and stand and lift and move records and documents weighing 30 pounds or less. 

COMMUNICATION DEMANDS:

  • Attention to detail, strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, self-motivated, and analytical skills, ability to interact with all levels of management and staff.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Standard office environment. Noise level in work environment is usually average. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • May require travel to branches or out of state.
