Description
Children's Museum of Atlanta is a nonprofit 501(c)(3), and we are the only educational venue of its kind in Atlanta. Through community outreach initiatives, educational programs, and exhibits designed for children ages 0–8, the Museum strives to spark every child's imagination, sense of discovery, and learning through the power of play. The Development Associate reports to the Assistant Director of Advancement, Special Events and Membership in the Strategic Advancement and Marketing Department. Whew. that's a lot of words, so we call it the SAM Department. This is a full time, non-exempt, hourly position at a rate of $16/hour. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, strong technical skills and the desire to learn new programs as needed, and a collaborative attitude, just to name a few. Primary role
Responsible for assisting the Strategic Advancement and Marketing Department in supporting the organization’s fundraising efforts by performing administrative functions including, but not limited to, data entry to support special events and individual donor gifts, generating reports, overall support of special events, and assisting with management of the Board of Directors.
