Overview

The Audiology Extern is an entry level full-time 12 month position for students in their fourth year of an accredited doctoral program (Au.D.) The Audiology Extern provides medical audiologic services through a broad range of diagnostic and habilitative procedures while under the direct supervision of a licensed and certified CMH audiologist.

Responsibilities

  • Under supervision and in accordance with certification and licensure standards, performs and documents diagnostic and rehabilitative audiologic procedures to evaluate, diagnose and treat hearing disorders in children.
  • Obtains education, training, and instruction needed to acquire the skills to function independently.
  • Participates in activities to increase the quality, efficiency and outcomes of patient care.

Qualifications

  • Other Completion of third year and current enrollment in fourth year of an accredited AuD Program with which CMH&C has a current university affiliation agreement. and No Experience necessary / On-the-Job Training
  • Completion of third year AUD program Required Upon Hire

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $19.05/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

Remote Work/Work from Home

This position is not eligible work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children’s Mercy locations and may not work from home.
