Children's Evaluation & Therapy Center is Hiring an Occupational Therapist (Part-time) Near Lanham, MD

Position: Occupational Therapist (Part-time)

Title: Occupational Therapist - Onsite/ Teletherapy

Reporting To: Clinical Director

Location: Lanham, Maryland (Prince George’s County)

Work Schedule: Monday through Thursday: 3pm – 7pm or 4pm – 7pm

CETC is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide assessments and treat clients with fine motor, visual/perceptual-motor, and sensorimotor needs. Key Functions:

Develop a curriculum that can help build fine motor, visual motor/perceptual, sensorimotor skills, activities of daily living, etc.

Complete comprehensive assessments in the area of need

Complete daily documentation of services and outcomes

Manage caseloads, services, and scheduling

Perform small group and individual therapy based on client needs

Collaborate and consult with professionals, providers, families, and teachers.

Provide operational and administrative support to the management team

Competencies:

Knowledge of fine motor, visual/perceptual-motor, sensorimotor, and sensory integration delays, feeding, and disorders

Excellent and effective oral communication and writing skills

Ability to meet federal and state regulations for licensure and certification

Strong time management and organizational skills

Ability to be flexible and creative

Recognize the need to respond to culturally diverse communities

Understand, utilize, and remain abreast of best practices and therapy modalities within the field

Experience in evaluation, scoring, and interpreting assessments and screening measures

Required Qualifications:

Master’s Degree from an accredited university

State of Maryland licensure and NBCOT Certification in good standing

1 years of experience in the field of occupational therapy

Pediatric experience preferred

Working Conditions, Equipment, Physical Demands:

There is a reasonable expectation that employees in this position will not be exposed to blood-borne pathogens.

Physical Demands - Heavy work. Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
