Description

• School-based Therapeutic Program seeking therapist to run therapeutic groups and provide individual therapy services in school-based and community-based settings.
• Implement Cognitive Behavioral Intervention evidence-based model.
• Conduct school-based life skill groups to school age students.
• Provide educational consultation to school professionals as needed.
• Conduct parent educational sessions to parents, guardians and family members, as needed.
• Provide assessment, planning, counseling/therapy, referrals, advocacy, and collateral contacts.
• Prepare and maintain timely documentation and records in accordance with agency, state accreditation, and other requirements, policies, and procedures.
• Position travels to schools within Sussex County

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling or related discipline required. License (LPCMH or LCSW) preferred; license eligible required.
• Ability to respond appropriately to the cultural differences present among the agency’s service population.
• Experience counseling children and/or adolescents, required.
• Flexibility with respect to work assignment in accordance with agency need.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Good organizational skills.
• Travel required to the assigned schools within Sussex County. 
• Must have a valid driver’s license, which meets the requirements of the agency’s insurance carrier and reliable transportation.
