Your day as a Clinical Assistant-Child and Adolescent
As a Clinical Assistant specializing in child and adolescent care with Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of clinical documentation. By reviewing documentation for adherence to various standards and guidelines, you will help to maintain complete and precise clinical records while providing essential support to our clinical staff. Your responsibilities extend to assisting outpatient clients by facilitating intake processes, explaining treatment guidelines, and addressing any barriers to attendance. With your knowledge of mental health and substance abuse care laws, including HIPAA regulations, you will help uphold the highest standards of care and confidentiality. Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in Human Services and 6 months of experience working with clinical documentation OR an Associate's Degree in a medical specialty, Human Services or Business, and one year of experience working with clinical documentation OR three (3) years of specialized work experience.
