The Business Development Executive position is responsible for growing the company’s business through developing and attaining new client contracts.

Your role:

  • Work closely with all Account Executives, Account Administrators, and Consultants to generate new client leads
  • Research, source, and contact new clients by phone, email, and other creative marketing sources
  • Make 30 contacts per day to accomplish team objectives
  • Strong collaboration with all CHG divisions to better understand client needs
  • Travel to a minimum of 12 visits/year
  • Assist in developing marketing strategies when acquiring new clients
  • Identifies trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements; tracking individual contributors and their accomplishments
  • Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential hospital partners; discovering and exploring opportunities
  • Screens potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities
  • Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with RNN’s strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials; estimating hospital partners' needs and goals
  • Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts by partnering with CHG Healthcare Risk management and Legal departments; integrating contract requirements with business operations (which includes Recruitment, Credentialing, Payroll, A/R, Consulting)
  • Partner with Client side team, identifying and executing on new client agreements
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
  • Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
  • Comfortable and experienced with presenting to “ C suite” and driving relationships to foster increased communication
  • Identify top strategic direct and direct/VMS clients within territory, by state and city
  • Partner with Account Executive and Consultant with prospect, and utilize nearby active clients provider usage as strategizing tool
  • Goal is 125 prospecting calls to new clients/week/500 per month total, including time away for travel
  • Requirements for onboarding all new clients, once contract is executed by partnering with Consulting, Account Executive, Credentialing, etc. Hospital client calls to ensure proper set up of new client hospital(s)
  • Maintain competitive bill rates and margins on all new client business acquired, based on quarterly goals established.
  • Involvement with new client facility expected for a minimum of 6 months, to ensure proper onboarding of travelers, and processes within hospital system.
  • Quarterly goals based on account tiering, as defined by leader

Your qualifications:

  • Outstanding interpersonal as well as written and verbal communication skills
  • In-depth knowledge of the nurse staffing industry and its current events
  • Ability to handle pressure and deadlines
  • Skill in prioritizing and triaging obligations
  • Excellent negotiation, persuasion, and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively on short-term and long-term projects
  • Strong work ethic, socially adept
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient computer skills, organization, and prioritization skills
  • Manage working relationships diplomatically
  • Attention to detail
  • Minimum of four years’ experience in the direct sales of products or services
  • Minimum of two years successful experience within the nurse staffing industry, and client services.
  • College level education or equivalent experience
  • Experience in the healthcare industry
