Make a difference in the lives of adolescents who live with mental health concerns and who are involved with the justice system. This full-time position is based in Belleville, IL. Daytime hours. Chestnut offers a new salary structure and robust benefits!
Provide consumer-driven services identified in treatment/recovery/safety plan. Advocate on clients’ behalf. Refer clients and families to community resources especially involving court systems, probation, DCFS, and detention centers. Facilitate meetings between service providers, especially court and probation. Attend regional Mental Health Juvenile Justice (MHJJ) meetings. Assume leadership role on a regular basis with little to no guidance and oversight.
Promote the recovery model of treatment including trauma-informed care, hope, respect, empowerment, health/wellness, and spirituality/connectedness.
Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field with at least 1,000 hours of supervised mental health experience. Valid driver’s license, private auto insurance, and must be insurable. Basic computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and an electronic medical record.
