Summary:  Entry level position that performs basic accounting and receptionist duties.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and report quarterly FR2900 report to the Federal Reserve
• Prepare and report Public Funds to VA Treasury Board
• Prepare and reconcile fixed assets for all entities
• Maintain Chesapeake Wealth Management’s general ledger and prepare financials statements
• Assist/back up reconcilement of various accounts
• Maintain and reconcile Prepaid and Accrual accounts
• Clear due to/from accounts monthly for CFS and subsidiaries
• Assist/back up for Accounts Payable Processor
• Process collection of foreign currency, foreign drafts, foreign checks, and municipal bond coupons.
• Process Check Print Solutions profit sheets to appropriate branches
• Sign and verify for deliveries
• Manage postings to Investor Relations and OTC Markets websites
• Answer telephones and performs other receptionist duties
• Understand role as defined by the three lines of defense to maintain a compliance culture that includes risk management processes
• Other tasks as may be assigned

Requirements

• Associate degree or equivalent
• Good math skills and a general knowledge of accounting principles
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent attention to details
• Good communications skills
• Strong computer and technical skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
