Chervon North America is Hiring a General Ledger Accountant Near Grand Rapids, MI
- Entering financial data and transactions into the ledger.
- Reviewing financial documents for accuracy and reconciling accounts
- Maintain and monitor accuracy of assigned general ledger accounts.
- Work to develop a process on maintaining back-end accruals to ensure that accruals are accurate and up to date.
- Ensuring financial records comply with regulatory standards.
- Collaborating with other departments to complete accurate records and provide accounting support.
- Maintain Prepaid, Fixed, and Leased Assets
- Process Payroll in the General Ledger ledger and reconcile payroll withholding deductions.
- Support weekly recording of freight transactions.
- Supporting internal and external audit work
- Assist General Ledger Accountant with general accounting tasks or any special project
- Help ensure month end software (FloQast) is up to date monthly with general ledger detail.
- Provide support with administrative tasks as needed.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred – Finance/Accounting
- 2-3 years of general accounting experience
- Strong Microsoft Excel & Word skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Oracle ERP knowledge a plus
- Fiscal management experience
