Chemical Management Co., Inc. is Hiring a Supply Chain Analyst Near Texas, TX

RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS: Lead supply chain analysis including short term, mid-term and strategic planning: Facilitate the monthly sales and operations planning process in conjunction with regional management, in particular through operating the S&OP model and making recommendations for production and distribution strategy Support the implementation of short-term sales and operation planning tools and processes in collaboration with regional supply chain and logistics teams Lead or support long-term strategic studies for capacity investments, terminal placement, etc. Analyze forecast accuracy and collaborate with regional sales teams to increase accuracy Challenge the status quo and use supply chain and financial tools to identify and implement cost savings and/or risk reduction opportunities Support ad hoc analyses such as competitive positioning studies, inventory management studies, make v. buy analysis and preparation for logistics carrier negotiations Present results, conclusions and recommendations to regional general management and to senior leadership teams Identify and propose additional supply chain tools and processes which could benefit the company ATTRIBUTES: Excellent PC skills with emphasis on Microsoft Excel, and prior experience working with large network ERP system (SAP knowledge preferred) Ability to conduct detailed business analysis with emphasis on financial, cost control and business issues in addition to supply chain perspective Ability to develop practical recommendations incorporating multiple business factors and to present conclusions and recommendations to senior leadership Must work well with others within and outside the department and be comfortable working in both an office and industrial/production environment. Demonstrated ability to foster teamwork and contribute to team success Available for occasional travel Milestones and deliverables: Writes business reports and conducts presentations regarding conclusions and recommendations to support the decision-making. Conduct detailed business analysis with emphasis on financial, cost control and business issues to assist the team. Search for and recommend initiatives. Detail the scope of the analysis, establish and define the objectives, timing, milestones and deliverables. Assist the designated Supply Chain Team in data gathering and definition of actual areas for cost improvements and supply chain optimization.
