We are the largest privately owned produce wholesaler on the West Coast, with distribution centers in Seattle, Spokane, Portland, Anchorage, Boise, Los Angeles and Salt Lake City. Responsibilities

The Role

This position is responsible for growing and maintaining current and future produce sales to insure satisfactory sales and profits for the company. Addressing the needs and insuring the highest level of service to our customers. This includes assigned customers, prospects, as well as, the accounts of other company salespersons. Individuals must be energetic, driven and passionate about produce and the retail produce industry.

Essential Responsibilities Include but Not Limited To

• Keeping abreast of market conditions and new items available throughout different seasons.
• Pricing strategies—developing price/order guides.
• Meeting all company and sales profit objectives.
• Maintain a sound working knowledge of all markets and growing conditions.
• Make presentations of profitable programs to potential and existing customers.
• Communicate with and work closely with buyers, operations and sales support personal by communicating customer's needs and preferences.
• Maintain effective, professional relationships with current customer, retailers, vendors, and fellow employees.
• Organize and provide assistance for special sales and promotions.
• Participate in special projects deemed necessary to the operation and well being of the company.
• Attend all sales meetings and appointments, (be on time, punctual).
• Ability to travel to the outside markets throughout Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho at various times of the year
• Responsible for individual accounts sales and gross profit.
• Make sure all orders are submitted before scheduled cut off times.
• Responsible for processing and turning in credit memos, responsibility forms and other job related paperwork within the set time lines.
• Responsible for Quality and Food Safety.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Experience

• Valid Driver’s License and clean MVR
• Valid Vehicle Insurance
• At least one (1) year experience in distribution or in the Retail Industry working with produce
• Must have demonstrated excellent interpersonal human relations and team skills
• Must be quick and accurate with paperwork, figures, attentive to detail, and have good follow-through
• Must have excellent customer service and phone skills

Supplemental Information

This employer participates in E-Verify and will provide the Social Security Administration and if necessary the Department of Homeland Security with the information from each new employee's Form I-9 to confirm work authorization
