CWA Middle School Teachers are assigned four courses (year-long equivalent) and an Advisory. They are expected to challenge each student to develop fully his/her/their intellectual, physical, and artistic abilities, and his/her/their potential for moral conduct and responsible citizenship with the School Mission and Portrait of a Tarrier as guiding documents. In addition, each full-time Middle School teacher is expected to coach two seasons of athletics or offer three elective classes and provide supervision for students throughout the school day, as well as participate in the daily life and culture of the school.
This position is a long-term sub for a full-time faculty appointment to teach three sections of sixth grade and one section of fifth grade Science. The estimated duration of this long-term sub role is 10/21/2022-3/24/2023. The Middle School Science curriculum focuses on biology in sixth grade and a blend of physical and earth science in seventh and eighth grade. Faculty can teach any combination of the above courses and flexibility to teach more than one level is expected.
