Your Opportunity

The Client Reporting, Paperless and Automated Communications team is part of the Digital Cross-Enterprise Platforms organization. The team is responsible for Schwab’s reporting product platforms such as brokerage and bank statements, statement inserts, trade confirmations, gain/loss reports, automated communications, year-end tax documents, cost basis reporting and paperless (eDelivery). These products/platforms serve as critical touch points for our clients, provide information regarding their portfolios and account transactions, and provide a great opportunity to directly impact the client experience and strategic growth of the firm. The team supports all of Schwab’s business enterprises and works with a wide range of internal partners.

The Manager, Digital Product Management is a key member of the Client Reporting and Paperless team. They will be responsible for implementing the strategy for Schwab’s trade confirmations platform and creating quality digital experiences across the client reporting platforms.

What you are good at

  • Leverage agile practices with a focus on developing, documenting, and communicating detailed user stories and requirements for the scrum team
  • Create compelling visual layouts, frameworks, summaries and mockups of financial reporting documents. Use design thinking best practices to enhance clarity and readability of client reporting documents
  • Perform complex research on trades and trading scenarios to satisfy client and regulatory needs
  • Perform analyses that provide insights on the customer experience, cost savings opportunities, client behaviors, and competitive market factors
  • Acquire and field challenging requests across many team members and clients and prioritize enhancements to improve business value.
  • Educate collaborators on the trade confirmation documents and provide ongoing leadership and support to cross-functional teams while developing new reporting features.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance of products with the help of Legal and Compliance teams. Work with auditors as required.
  • Stay current with industry best practices and market opportunities as well as represent Schwab in industry peer groups
  • Conduct and define user acceptance testing with technology to ensure reporting quality
  • Serve as subject matter authority to perform research and address critical issues / questions from service teams and clients
  • Create and maintain product collateral, internal communication/training, and marketing materials

What you have

  • You should have at least 3 - 5 years experience in at least two of the following: Product Management, Financial Services, Client Financial Reporting, and/or Client Written Communications in a regulated industry
  • High attention to detail with ability to define business logic and business scenarios within user stories
  • Experience writing queries and extracting reporting from data warehouses
  • Experience in trade processing, reporting, and reconciliation
  • Demonstrated success with defining and launching products in a complex corporate environment
  • Experience leading and directing a scrum team through a product backlog.
  • Experience with project execution including project planning, dependencies management, and business analysis.
  • Experience working with and analyzing complex data sets to make data-driven decisions and recommendations
  • Experience in Agile development practices
  • Strong interpersonal skills, emotional maturity and sound decision making capabilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, being able to transform complex topics into well-organized, understandable communications to different audiences, including Leadership
  • Experience with any of the following tools and systems; Confluence, SharePoint, SQL, Opentext Exstream, JIRA, Adobe suite.
  • Expert usage of Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio
  • Bachelors degree, MBA a plus
  • FINRA Series 7 or 99 a plus
