To build the solid platform that will power our next-generation flagship product, we are looking for a highly accomplished software engineer in test with a strong background in building backend platform and infrastructure, who enjoys being a technical leader and has a real passion for using innovative web technologies to build compelling interactive web applications. What you are good at

As a Software Development Engineer in Test, you will need to be an expert in QA automation. You will help design and implement the test framework for a variety of highly scalable, available, and resilient On Prem and Cloud-native web application. Day to day you will work in concert with architects, software developers, operation engineers and product owners in an agile fashion to build and test Schwab’s onPrem and Cloud applications. Daily responsibilities include but not limit to:

• Design, build and support test automation framework used by engineers across our org.
• Implement standard methodologies, resolve test issues, track and prioritize defects, record test results, participate in product readiness and release decisions

• Ensure automation is constantly running, analyzing, and promptly reporting on failures
• Liaise with product teams, Product Owners and Scrum Masters to integrate project plans, testing schedules, and metrics reporting
• Assist in driving Use Case and User Story reviews, and help resolve requirements ambiguities
• Partner with geographically-distributed teams to plan our future QA tooling and technology decisions

What you have

• 5-7 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance

• 3 years developing, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts
• Solid understanding of QA practices (black box testing, risk-based testing, system testing, regression testing, exploratory testing)
• Hands-on coding experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, C# or other object-oriented programming languages
• Experience with Selenium WebDriver, Angular UI testing (Protractor, WebdriverIO), or similar
• Experience with Agile development practices
• Ability to participate in product code reviews
• BA/BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent in the STEM field.
