That’s why we’re embarking on a critical multi-year initiative to transform our entire financial system architecture and business processes. We have a dynamic transformation team dedicated to leading this complex and critical initiative. This team is responsible for designing and implementing a new target operating model for the Finance organization –ushering in an era of increased operational speed and efficiency; more accessible and reliable data; tighter governance to enforce usage and quality standards, greater focus on value-add analysis work and scenario planning capabilities, and reduced risk in an expanding regulatory environment. The FSPT team provides centralized business analyst / product owner functions responsible for documenting functional / technical specifications, test plans, and supporting change management. This team drives process redesign strategies aimed at achieving the target operating model. Lastly, this team will partner strategically with IT to deliver a sustainable, Cloud based system architecture that will be highly integrated and seek to optimize systems to support Sourcing, Contracting, Procurement, Supplier Management, and Invoicing capabilities.
The candidate will be the Product Owner for the platforms that are used by the Corporate Vendor Management (CVM) teams across the company. The platforms are used in the procure to pay processes throughout Charles Schwab, providing decision-support to business leaders, transparency, vendor risk management solutions, and reporting metrics to senior leaders. This role is responsible for providing vision, requirements and guidance to Scrum development teams implementing financial software. You will also be responsible for prioritization of requirements to achieve the best return on investment results across multiple product initiatives. We are looking for a candidate with deep experience in Source to pay Operations, Procure to Pay, and Data Analytics. This candidate requires the ability to influence others and energized about the opportunity to deliver automation and solve complex problems. The Product Owner role will manage a roadmap aimed at a new target operating model that delivers a more efficient and extendable system framework, enhanced data governance model and standardization, improved workflow to eliminate manual processes, and capabilities to meet current and future state requirements. The Corporate Vendor Manager Product Owner will require outstanding communications skills with the ability to establish and build trusting relationships with individuals at all levels of the firm. Molding different parts of the organization to successfully support the desired strategies and outcomes requires well developed influencing and collaboration skills. This is a leadership position that requires deep procurement / accounting domain experience, a business / systems analysis discipline, knowledge of workflow design and data governance, and an ability to drive alignment toward a shared vision.
