Forest Manor Healthcare Center is looking for a Medical Records Clerk to work Full Time, Monday through Friday in a skilled nursing facility located in Hope, NJ. The Medical Records Clerk will be responsible for a variety of tasks including collecting patient information, issuing medical files, filing medical records, and processing patient admissions and discharge papers.

The successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge of medical terminology, processes, and administrative duties. To excel in this position, you should also demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills.

Required Qualifications

vHigh school diploma or equivalent

vMinimum of 2 years’ administrative experience preferred.

vStrong computer skills including Word and Excel

vWorking knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, coding, and other aspects of health information preferred, but not required.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Organizes, plans and manages the medical records department in accordance to established policies and procedures.

Ensures resident health information is protected and not disclosed unless by permission or with established policies and procedures.
