Located in Chester, CT, Chapco, Inc has been a valuable and reliable partner in providing Sheet Metal Manufacturing Services, Assembly, as well as Product Development and Engineering Services since 1964. This position reports to the Shipping Manager and spends a portion of his or her time on the road delivering parts to customers and a portion of his or her time in the Shipping Department supporting efforts to ship parts on time and efficiently. The candidate hired for this role will have exposure to many facets of manufacturing and a great opportunity for growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Production

• Drive box truck or delivery van throughout CT and surrounding states to deliver manufactured parts, on-time to customers.
• Prepare product for shipping by packing, creating labels, etc.
• May verify conformance of parts to specification
• Lift raw materials, final products, and items packed for shipment, manually, or using lift truck.
• Understand and assist in meeting stringent production time standards.

Maintenance and Safety

• Follow company policy pertaining to maintenance and safety requirements.
• Uphold all ISO and OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities above.
• Maintain a clean environment and organized at all times.

Skills & Qualifications

• Must possess valid Driver's License
• DOT Health Card (a plus if you already have, ability to obtain will be required)
• Work in fast paced environment with fast changing priorities.
• Strong team player and reliable.
• High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
• Sitting, Standing, Lifting is required
• CDL a plus but not required
