Description

We are looking for a CNC Operator to join our 2nd shift production team! The CNC Operator will ensure complete customer satisfaction through the setup and operation of CNC machines in order to manufacture component parts used primarily for retail and tradeshow displays, fixtures, and exhibits. Maintaining cooperative relationships with all internal and external customers, as well as completing projects with the highest level of quality, productivity, and safety is essential.

• Operate CNC machines, including flatbed wood router, edge bander and beam saw
• Configure the CNC by entering instructions, set tool database, tool offset and conditional switches
• Verify settings by measuring the positions, first run part and sample pieces
• Adjust tools and replace as needed with little or no supervision
• Make basic machine adjustments
• Verify part dimensions
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Inspect parts for quality and conformance
• Provide accurate inventory counts at all times
• Incorporate experience, skills, and knowledge in the machining of customer products
• Provide ideas for continuous improvement to supervisor in regards to safety, quality, delivery, and cost

Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

· Prior experience in a CNC role preferred

· HS diploma or equivalent

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

· Ability to learn machine setup and operation

· Ability to read blueprints and job orders

· Basic math skills

· Good mechanical aptitude

· Positive attitude

· Ability to take direction and follow work instructions

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

· Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

· Ability to stand for long periods of time

WORK ENVIRONMENT/CONDITIONS

· Temperature-controlled shop environment

· Overtime hours are required as needed
