The Accounting Manager at Chandler is a highly motivated and skilled accounting professional who manages the daily operation of the accounting team within the Finance department. This includes managing and maintaining the general ledger, payroll, and tax compliance. This also includes preparing and analyzing financial statements, managing budgets, reconciling audits, and provide key financial forecasting to the company.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES
GENERAL FINANCIAL AND COST ACCOUNTING
· Conduct margin analysis by sales/COS lines. Analyze cost trends, budget versus previous years
· Analyze variances including budget to actual. Prepare reports to show findings
· Reconcile sub-ledgers to the general ledger, resolve differences, and review reconciliations
· Record, classify, summarize, and review ?nancial transactions in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
· Perform and review monthly transactions and processes
· Resolve accounting issues or discrepancies, and support requests for information
· Reconcile assigned GL accounts in a timely and accurate manner
· Prepare ?nancial statements and sales tax reports
· Key contributor in the annual budgeting and forecasting process
· Analyze actual manufacturing costs and prepare periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
· Provide backup to their team through AP, AR, and Payroll (Paylocity) as needed
Ability to Report and Speak to Financial Results
· Become expert user in ERP (Sage) and provide support to Controller and other users as our company wide expert user.
· Create routines for running reports using Crystal reporting
· Review purchase orders. Identify and track purchasing trends as they relate to F/S
· Review of invoicing documents, e.g. quotes, purchase orders, terms & conditions, bill of lading, etc.
· Coordinate and reconciling audits to ensure accuracy of information
· Building, managing, and communicating company budgets
· Improving and ensuring our reporting processes are timely and accurate.
· Provide value added analysis and commentary including non-financial KPI’s.
· Delivering reports electronically, with integration tools

Management/Leadership
· Become a problem solver within the finance department and companywide.
· Collaborate with different departments within the company to bring insight and feedback on process improvement and decision making.
· Work with Human Resources to create development plans for each direct report
· Bringing leadership soft skills that promote employee engagement and general wellbeing.
Process Optimization
· Drive efficiency throughout the company including:
· Roll out company Automations with the help of our IT resource
