Description
Night Warehouse Assistant Manager oversees the loading and replenishing of products to Champion Brands’ trucks, pick-line and warehouse floor. They establish processes and procedures designed to ensure consistent high performance and analyze data to promote efficiencies that support Champion Brands’ overall mission.
Warehouse Daily Operations- Responsible for overseeing the logistics of truck loading, pick-line inventory replenishment and resource management. Accountable to troubleshoot any issue that arises to minimize the impact/disruption to the loading of product to Champion Brands’ trucks. Responsible for developing policy and implementing/executing all company policies within the Operations department. Ensures the highest standard of quality control throughout all processes.
1. Investigate internal customer complaints. Identify trends and develop solutions to address.
2. Manage and maintain equipment including, but not limited to printers, Magliners, forklifts, wrap machines, pallet jacks and delivery trucks. Remove obstacles that prevent maximum productivity.
Analysis & Cost Control- Ensures load processes are efficient and cost effective. Continually analyzes data to reduce costs and streamline processes without adversely impacting the employee experience. Participates in the research, selection and management of industry technology used for logistics efficiency and cost control.
1. Regularly review picking and loading procedures to determine any inefficiencies and develop corrective action plans.
2. Consistently analyze and review vendor agreements for cost and quality opportunities. Report findings to Director of Operations.
Customer Service- Assess internal customer feedback and make necessary improvements. Conduct surveys with department managers to measure the quality of service provided. Conduct research and take steps to correct deficiencies by identifying and analyzing the issues.
1. Partner with Sales and Delivery to identify issues inter-departmentally that impact external customer service.
People Management- Responsible for the overall hiring, performance management and retention of the night warehouse team. Manages people development, work activities and performance goals. Involves planning for the development of others, coordinating actions, coaching of others and diligently addressing performance issues/conflicts both at the individual and organizational level. Focuses on engaging employees with empathy by assessing their potential and creates an environment that attracts and maintains talent.
1. Interview and identify talent.
2. Mentor, coach and manage the performance of employees.
3. Complete regular performance appraisals and employee work-with sessions.
4. Engage employees with focus on retention/decreased turnover.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Requirements
· Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
· 2-3 Years of warehouse or logistics experience
· 2 Years of management experience
· Proficient knowledge of computer and how to use technology tools and resources.
Preferred:
· Bachelor’s Degree
· Class A CDL License
