Install and maintain IT related equipment standardized on Cisco switches and routers, HP/Dell servers and Dell laptops and notebooks. Work with team members to resolve any software or hardware related user issues. Duties and Responsibilities: Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory Install, configure, and maintain 300 Microsoft Windows Servers running on VMWare Install, configure, and maintain Server services such as DNS, DHCP, DFS, etc. Configure and maintain existing Active Directory infrastructure Maintain all related documentation Server Applications Work with software vendors to ensure proper installation and configuration of IT-related server applications. Monitor and maintain IT related server applications. Work with software vendors to ensure proper installation and configuration of Business-related server applications. Monitor and maintain Business-related related server applications. Maintain all related documentation Projects and Initiatives Assist with hardware refreshes at remote facilities Assist with hardware and software migrations related to acquisitions. Research and implement projects and initiatives as determined by the IT Management Team. Ensure timely completion of all projects and initiatives. Engage and manage outside vendor and contract resources as required. Maintain all related documentation Help Desk Monitor helpdesk overflow and supplement the helpdesk as needed. Work with helpdesk staff to complete 2nd level tickets in timely manner. Engage and manage outside resources as needed to ensure the completion of tickets. Research and Training Pursue training and educational opportunities. Research and study trends, market shifts, and news related to our business and technology. Expand knowledge of the business in general and understand the concerns of the business not necessarily related to IS. Minimum Job Requirements: Education/Certifications An IS/IT related associate degree from an accredited university/college is preferred. Direct and relevant work experience may be substituted for degree requirement Industry standard certifications (Network , MCSA, MCSE, etc.) are a plus. Experience Minimum 4 years practical experience directly related to administering Windows Server and Active Directory. Experience setting up and deploying applications utilizing Remote Desktop Services. Experience writing PowerShell scripts is a plus. Experience with Dell/HP server hardware is a plus. Knowledge/Skills Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent troubleshooting skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows services including DNS, DHCP, DFS, etc. Demonstrated willingness and ability to interface with various internal and external business associates. Must possess valid driver’s license. Abilities Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of associates and consultants ranging from entry level to executive level positions. Ability to manage and coordinate the work of technical consultants and/or contractors. Ability to analyze complex software problems and devise creative and effective solutions. Ability to manage multiple tasks, often with competing deadlines. Supervisory Responsibilities Manage external contractors and resources as needed.
