POSITION SUMMARY:

Sell CPI products, systems and services. Develop new accounts, maintain current accounts and assist customers with their applications.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Generate new business and maintain current business with existing accounts
  • Work with the sales manager on account management and marketing.
  • Seek out, identify and qualify new sales leads
  • Target service and assigned OEM accounts to effectively “sell” the CPI product offering in a professional fashion
  • Travel throughout assigned territory to call on customers and prospective customers and solicit sales
  • Provide technical support to customers; suggest components, assist with applications support and provide information on features and benefits of product lines and systems
  • Maintain knowledge of products and engineered systems sold by Certified Power, Inc.
  • Prepare and update sales forecasts
  • Prepare and submit sales reports / status reports as requested by sales manager
  • Maintain customer contact database
  • Maintain and regularly update opportunities database
  • Follow the “Action Selling” sales process
  • Work with inside sales personnel to prepare written and enter quotes and proposals into Prelude
  • Work with inside sales and engineering personnel on custom applications. Provide requested information in a timely manner
  • Work with factory representatives as required

Requirements

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2 year technical degree in fluid power, other 2 years technical degree or 4 years of relevant fluid power experience
  • At least some experience in one of the following: repairing fluid power products, mechanical systems, machinery and/or electrical equipment.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

SPECIAL SKILLS:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Working knowledge of hydraulic equipment, mobile systems and/or industrial systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Action Selling Certification (may be completed upon hiring)
