Cerebral Staffing, LLC is Hiring an Engineering Technician II 34890 Near Fargo, ND

  • Visa sponsorship is not available, now or in the near future, for this position. Local candidates requested.
  • Preferred: Three or more years of related experience in electronics, manufacturing, or engineering , SMT Soldering is a plus. 2nd shift hours, 2p-10p M-F.
  • Flexible to train entry level candidate but must have min:2 year technical degree - Equivalent technician experience will supplement degree.
  • Mechanical background
  • Trouble shooting skills
  • Failure analysis
  • Basic computer skills
  • Self-sufficient to work with minimal supervision.
  • Role supports the production floor, technician's group will take tech requests and trouble calls from floor regarding machine or mechanical issues
  • Automated equipment for SMT, wave solder, selective solder equipment, robotic/CNC

EXPERIENCE:

Required: Minimum one year of related experience in electronics, manufacturing, or engineering • Preferred: Three or more years of related experience in electronics, manufacturing, or engineering

REQUIRED SKILLS:

1. Possess effective written and verbal communication skills, enabling correspondence with internal departments, vendors, and customers

2. Working knowledge of personal computers, spreadsheets, and word processing

3. Understanding of manufacturing processes and electronic components

4. A thorough understanding of equipment and/or manufacturing methods (e.g., multimeters)

5. Understanding of troubleshooting methodologies to identify root cause (e.g. Six Sigma)

6. Ability to read intermediate engineering documents, e.g., schematics or diagrams

7. Maintain necessary product and process records/documentation

8. Ability to comprehend and use product/process component data sheets.

9. Ability to assemble and disassemble products /manufacturing equipment

10. Hands-on experience troubleshooting to identify root cause

11. Ability to maintain semi advanced lab/production equipment

12. Ability to perform intermediate mechanical work

13. Ability to train a manufacturing technician or production associate

14. Ability to work with minimal supervision 15. Knowledge of ergonomics and proper manufacturing safety techniques

PREFERRED SKILLS:

1. Hands-on SMT soldering and intermediate troubleshooting abilities

2. Good understanding of Six Sigma Job Purpose: Assist and support production through methods improvement, training, problem-solving, equipment repair, regular maintenance, equipment programming, process/work instruction development for products and equipment. Job Duties:

1. Intermediate understanding of the printed circuit board and manufacturing assembly processes with the ability to respond to any common failures in the process with corrective action.

2. Provide intermediate technical support to assigned production teams to assist/lead in the resolution of problems during manufacturing.

3. Develop and maintain intermediate programs, processes, and assembly procedures for the manufacture of products with limited guidance of engineers.

4. Assist/lead in the repair, setup, qualification, and maintenance of intermediate mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic functions for a number of production equipment.
