Cenvar Roofing has an immediate opening for a Quality Control Inspector. This position isbased out of our Corporate office in Lynchburg, VAwith regular travel throughout Central Virginia to cover the service territories of our eight branches. The successful candidate will have 2 years professional experience in construction quality control inspection or construction site supervision.

Quality Control Inspector Duties

• Perform routine field inspections to ensure Cenvar employees and crews are operating to code and to Cenvar standards of workmanship using a checklist provided by Cenvar
• Communicate with the field team any quality deficiencies
• Work with the team to find solutions and verify remedies are completed in a timely manner and to the project specifications
• Recognize the need for, present ideas and execute changes as needed, with approval
• Identify persons responsible for quality and customer service failures and complete necessary documentation
• Coordinate and conduct weekly training as needed on various topics as necessitated by inspections
• Keep and track daily logs, including photographs taken during inspections
• Provide written, well organized documentation of findings
• Conduct minor roof repairs as needed
• Create work orders as needed and direct activities of “go back” mechanic
• Coordinate activities of any subcontractors as needed to address issues
• Ensure customer satisfaction
• Build and maintain a rapport with employees and contractors that fosters a collaborative work environment
• As we are a growing company, you understand that the territory you service has the potential to expand
• Other quality control inspection duties as assigned

Minimum Skills & Requirements

• Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the Cenvar insurance policy
• High school diploma
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction or related field preferred
• OSHA 10 certification or ability to obtain certification within 90 days of hire
• At least 2 years of relevant work history
• Experience with construction job site and equipment
• Must be able to learn & comprehend all of Cenvar’s company policies, Owens Corning standards & the GAF Pro Field Guide
• Must have basic knowledge of computers to include Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite
• Climbing, reading, stooping, kneeling, balancing, crouching, crawling, standing and walking without reasonable accommodation and in all weather conditions
• Ability to work on roofs and install shingles
• Able to work in confined spaces without accommodation
• Utilization of common courtesy within a team environment
• Must be dependable and self motivated, professional and have the ability to work without direct supervision
• Must be fluid & flexible in evolving work duties and procedures
