IT System Administrator

Summary

Responsible for network installation and configuration, database management, providing user support, information security, and developing, testing and troubleshooting systems and hardware.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Ability to troubleshooting enterprise software and hardware to recover from downtime.
• Train employees, as needed, on software process and tools.
• May work with the IT Manager to design systems, assess the effectiveness of existing. technology, and make recommendations for improvements in the technology infrastructure.
• Along with the IT Manager, may work with external partners/vendors to arrive at the best solutions for systems or integrations.
• Resolve employee IT-related issues, as recorded in the Century IT Ticket system.
• With information technology constantly changing, specialists must stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and the potential effectiveness of these advancements in their current system.

Education and/or Experience

Associate or Bachelors degree from two or four-year college or university in computer science, engineering or related field; 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills

Standard office equipment and software, as well experience with server software (Windows or Linux) and database management software (MySQL, Microsoft Access).
