Centria Autism is the largest provider of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) across the state of Michigan, with services in 12 other states. Position Summary
The Clinical Director is responsible for the daily oversight of clinical quality for their team of Supervising Clinicians (BCBAs and BCs). This position is considered a leadership role within Centria. The ideal candidate will be able to lead, direct, supervise, and implement clinical initiatives and programs. This role will also provide mentorship and professional development for their team, assisting them in overcoming challenges and answering questions. Solid communication skills and openness to feedback are necessary. The CD should be organized and self-sufficient to perform in this role successfully.
Success Measures
Success measures include clinical outcomes first and foremost, as well as, overall team performance and productivity, client retention, engagement, and retention of Supervising Clinicians and Behavior Technicians.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Mentor and manage a team of Supervising Clinicians.
- Lead a team of Supervising Clinicians to provide the highest quality of ABA therapy through appropriate programming, client education, and hour recommendations.
- Conduct weekly one on ones to review performance metrics and client files.
- Conduct quarterly fidelity assessments to drive quality and consistency throughout the organization.
- Provide clinical oversight of all Centria clientele to drive compliance and retention to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Review initial and six-month assessments conducted by your direct report BCBAs to guarantee clinically accurate goals, programming, and hour recommendations.
- Conduct monthly case reviews of your team members’ clients to ensure appropriate progress.
- Ensure clients and parents are engaged in and completely satisfied with the services provided to them.
- Review all proposed discharges/graduations for appropriateness.
- Champion clinical initiatives with the team of Supervising Clinicians and Behavior Technicians.
- Ensure all initiatives developed by the Clinical Excellence Team are understood, accepted, and implemented.
- Consistently train and lead the team to drive to the highest quality of ABA therapy being delivered and best outcomes being achieved.
- Maintain a small caseload of clients providing direct clinical oversight.
- Attend corporate meetings and training as scheduled.
- Attend Clinical Summits to earn CEUs and hear company updates.
- Conduct monthly group BCBA training.
- Promote the growth of Centria Autism and assist in the pursuit of business opportunities.
- Build relationships with current referral sources.
- Comply with all necessary payor requirements to drive referral source satisfaction.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree and
- BCBA Masters Level degree and
- Current BCBA certificate through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
Work Experience
- 2 years working with children and autism spectrum disorders
- Previous experience managing others and leading a team
Other Competency Requirements
- Ability to follow written instructions
- Ability to use computers and computer/software programs
- Ability to communicate expressively and receptively in order to follow IPOS requirements, emergency procedures, and report on activities performed
- Must pass all qualifications for the Foundations of Care Certification mentorship within 9 months of hire, or enrollment in mentorship.

Working Conditions
- Centria Autism Centers are open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM, and Saturday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM It is not expected for the Clinical Director to be present during all operating hours.
- Additional time or flex schedules may be required to complete the above work or meet company objectives.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the team member may be exposed to a client who exhibits physically aggressive behavior, which can include kicking, pinching, punching, biting, etc. The team member may have to use appropriate behavior management techniques with a client under such circumstances. Such a response requires agility, quick reflexes, and the ability to use physically evasive movement. The team member will be required to stand, walk, sit, grasp, reach, bend, kneel, crouch, squat, hear, type, and write. The team member will also be exposed to normal office conditions and usual office equipment such as phone, computer, copiers, files, etc. The team member must be able to independently push, pull, lift, move, and carry objects weighing up to thirty-five (35) lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include near, far, and field of vision.
