Security Guard

Description: The role of the Security Officer at our LGBTQIA healthcare clinic will be to patrol the clinic grounds daily to ensure the safety of our employees and patients.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct foot patrols for employee and patient safety as well as parking enforcement on a regular basis throughout shift.
• Tour building and property, examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure they are secured.
• Respond to specific employee, patient or clinic security needs.
• Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
• Travel to satellite clinics, when needed, for events if required.
• Write report of irregularities.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling equipment.
• Coordinate with police officers and other emergency responders in case of security breach or other medical emergency

Requirements:

• Valid PA driver’s license
• Relevant weapons license and training
• Background in law enforcement or military experience preferred
• Prior experience as an armed security officer
• Nonconfrontational demeanor
• Physical stamina
• Capacity to work on your feet for extended periods
• Basic computer skills
• Experience with patient centered care
• Punctuality and impeccable attendance
• Strong communication skills with both professionals and patients from all demographics
• Non-judgmental approach to patient care
• Technical skills with required office equipment
• Patience and great attention to detail
