Description

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS: Perform a variety of duties in the entry of consumer loan applications to support the Lending Specialists and Relationship Representatives. Maintenance of the consumer loan file area.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Process consumer loans closing from Velocity. Ensure all documentation received from Lending Specialists and Relationship Representatives are complete and accurate. Verify information in Velocity is accurate then upload to CORE. Perform any maintenance required on the loan file. Quality control loan and prepare file for scanning
2. Quality control all files received from branches for accuracy
3. Process balance transfers for Visa accounts
4. Quote consumer loan payoffs and lien release letters as required
5. Process paid loans in accordance with COFCU policies and procedures
6. Support Lending Specialists and Retail staff with loan applications and assist with loan related questions and training, as needed
7. Process loan denials in accordance with required regulations
8. Work closely with insurance companies and Department of Motor Vehicles to gather missing auto titles and ensure COFCU collateral is adequately protected. Initiate daily reports to Electronic Services for creation of electronic titles and monitor reports
9. Maintain clean file area by matching loose paperwork & auto titles then prepare these documents for scanning into Nautilus.
10. Initiate insurance claims and verify insurance payments to members
11. Stay current on job-related equipment, procedures and/or information by reading handouts/memos, attending meetings and seminars and other necessary means.
12. Adhere to all applicable Credit Union policies, procedures and regulations.
13. Maintain community involvement and participate in special projects or testing, as needed.
14. Perform other duties as requested, or assigned.

Requirements

Education: High School diploma required

Experience: 1-3 years of similar or related experience

Skills: Ability to do detailed work; efficient and accurate, skilled in the use of general office machines and computers
