Location: Van Wert, Ohio or Dublin, Ohio – Hybrid Work Model Essential Job Functions Maintains a secure application development process Champions a process to accept and address software vulnerabilities Capable of performing root cause analysis on security vulnerabilities Manages and vets an inventory of trusted third party software components Maintains a Severity Rating System and process for prioritizing application vulnerabilities Advises on hardening configuration templates for application infrastructure including segmentation Provides training on application security concepts and secure coding for Software Engineering Implements code level security checks through DAST, SAST, and MAST techniques. Assists with application penetration testing. Assists with Threat Modeling. Responsible for scripting automation for any middleware related to security tools and functions. Utilizes scripting for meta-data aggregation to allow for the creation of dashboards or other metrics for security analytics. Required Qualifications: Completion of Master’s program in Computer Science Or completion of Bachelor’s program in Computer Science and 2 years related experience Or 4 years related experience Preferred Qualifications: CASE, CASS, or CSSLP certifications preferred Knowledge Skills and Abilities Creativity and passion for application security Curious mind and strong desire to constantly learn. Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills Extensive experience in the software development life cycle. Proven experience working with product, software, data, and infrastructure engineering teams. Subject matter expert and advanced knowledge on application security concepts and secure coding. Experience with maintaining processes to ensure third party software components are updated in a timely fashion. High level aptitude with CVSS risk assessment methodology Proven ability to apply secure design principles within application architecture. Extensive knowledge of industry best practices to harden application infrastructure components. Ability to assist with application penetration tests and threat modeling exercises. Proven experience with scripting automation.
