Our Central Garden Distribution Sales Team is searching for a Territory Manager for the Dallas/Fort Worth, TX region. We are seeking an aggressive, assertive self-starter that can detail and sell products based on competitive advantages. This position includes both established customers and a large pool of potential accounts, including: Feed and Farm Supply, Seed Supply, Erosion Control, Sod Farms, Hardware, Garden Center, Nursery, Indoor/Outdoor Grow and Co-op stores. 

MEASURES OF SUCCESS

• Must be able to build relationships with a diverse customer base
• Grow sales by 15% annually by adding new customers and growing sales to existing customers in an outside sales rep environment (phone calls and face-to-face interaction)
• Sell based on competitive advantages and detail advantages of proprietary brand products
• Ability to prioritize, plan, and organize daily, weekly, and monthly territory travel and focus. 70% domestic travel required, including overnight travel. Travel expenses are reimbursed by the Company
• Participate in local, regional, and national trade shows and field days
• Facilitate in the pull through of product at the retail level by conducting in-store seminars, farm visits, and other customer events

IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES

• BS or MS in Agriculture, Agronomy, Animal Science, Environmental Science, Forestry, Horticulture, Turf, or a related field
• 3 years’ experience in territory sales
• Strong working knowledge of the MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel Outlook and PowerPoint
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
