Central Arkansas Workforce Development Area is Hiring a Tire Technician Near Searcy, AR

Job Description of Tire Technician:
Tire technicians install, repair, balance, and rotate tires for passenger and commercial vehicles, and perform other mechanical duties.
Duties and Responsibilities of Tire Technician:
  • Perform preventative and routine maintenance on vehicles such as changing oil, changing and rotating tires, changing light bulbs, and checking fluids.
  • Assisting (not training) technician mechanics in performing technical activities.
  • Diagnoses and repairs to specifications – brake and hydraulic, exhaust, front end, suspension, alignment, and computer systems.
  • Adequately explains technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers on an as-required basis.
  • Maintains an organized and neat bay.
  • Maintains and organizes tire stock.
  • Perform related responsibilities as required or assigned.
Qualifications of Tire Technician:
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must have formal education equivalent to high school diploma
  • Must successfully past pre-employment drug test and criminal background check.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
