Centerline Logistics Corporation is Hiring an IT Systems Administrator Near Seattle, WA

Overview

We are seeking an experienced IT systems administrator to join our technology team. In this role, you will assist in powering the employee productivity of a maritime industry concerned workforce. You will help maintain the IT Infrastructure, collaborate in migration, management, and compliance initiatives, and assist the IT manager in major projects. We seek an individual with experience in a help desk customer support role, a solid understanding of the Microsoft 365 stack, a deep understanding of network management and security, and management experience over on-premises and cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience applying project management fundamentals and experience supporting software development lifecycle engagements.

Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist with the monitoring, maintenance, upgrade, and administration of IT systems and networks.
  • Assist with ensuring maximum uptime and stability in the company's systems and networks.
  • Assist in dissemination and incorporation of compliance policies across all departments promoting an information security compliance program following industry best practices.
  • Assist in monitoring, evaluation, and testing of infrastructure security.
  • Help document processes and activities supporting IT policies and utilization of a change management program.
  • Help establish systems and processes to document, test and perform disaster recovery.
  • Mentor end-users and Help Desk operations.
  • Respond, log and track support tickets into the IT ticketing system.
  • Help maintain catalog of equipment and software.
  • Assist in vendor management.
  • Setup, repair, and maintain workstation computers and related equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware failures.
  • Installation and upgrade of software applications.
  • Provide on-site support, equipment and technical services for staff and organization events.
  • Tactical style that effectively triages performance issues and drives root cause analysis.
  • Business acumen to effectively frame operational improvement conversations with managers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or relevant industry experience is required.
  • 5 years’ work experience in support of IT operations.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure AD and Exchange
  • Direct experience with Microsoft systems including Active Directory, Exchange, Office, SharePoint and Dynamics.
  • Demonstrated experience with Azure or AWS
  • Proficient in management of MSSQL and MySQL databases.
  • Proficient in managing Linux and Windows based servers.
  • Experience with server & network monitoring using management and performance tools.
  • Experience with management of telecom systems.
  • Understanding of firewall concepts, ideally familiar with Sophos, Cisco Muraki, or Barracuda.
  • Strong knowledge of common technology principles (high-availability, fault tolerance, load balancing, etc.).
  • Vendor engagement experience including software licensing and management.
  • Solid communication skills w/ ability to clearly articulate the right message to the right audience
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.

PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Familiarity applying security frameworks NIST 800-171, ISO 27001 or CCMC2.
  • Familiarity with organizational implementations of ITIL standards.
  • Maritime industry experience.

Job Condition and Environment

  • Infrequent light physical effort required.
  • Ability to obtain TWIC upon hire.
  • Proof of COVID vaccination required.

Expected Hours of Work

  • Normal office hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday or equivalent.
  • May be required to travel domestically.
