We are seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Environmental Services to join the team. The primary role of this position is to plan, organize and help the director to supervise the day to day operation of the Environmental Services Department to exceed the service standards of our patients, residents and families in accordance with federal, state and local regulations.
Assistant Director of Environmental Services Responsibilities:
Assist in attracting, training, supervising and retaining an effective team of housekeepers, laundry aides and floor maintenance staff. Review, revise, communicate and monitor department policies and procedures
Coordinate housekeeping and laundry services and activities with other related departments such as Nursing, Dietary, etc.
Order and maintain par levels of department supplies and operational equipment
Routine inspections and managing department supply controls
Prepare to achieve deficiency free annual state surveys; develop and implement plan of correction for housekeeping deficiencies during state surveys when necessary. Serve on various committees of the facility, provide written/oral reports about housekeeping and laundry services to Administrator. Maintain positive working relationships with residents, their families as well as within the housekeeping/laundry department and other department staff.
Assistant Director of Environmental Services Work Qualifications:
Experience in working in a housekeeping and laundry department within a rehabilitation and/or long-term care setting
High School Dimploma or GED
